    Untersuchung von Bronchialzellsedimenten bei lungenkranken Kälbern unter Berücksichtigung der Apoptosis (2001)

    Abstract / Zusammenfassung

    For the investigation of the possibility of the increase of apoptosis of the polymorphnuclear granulocyt in the bronchoalveolar space we treated 14 calves with Micotil (active substance: Tilmicosin, dosage: 10 mg/ kg body weight s.c.) and 13 calves with Excenel (active substance: Ceftiofur, dosage: 1 mg/ kg body weight s.c.) from 27 calves with diagnosted subacut to chronic airway disease.In the group of the Micotil treatment by 12 (85,71%) out of 14 calves the part of the apoptotic polymorphnuclear granulocyt within in the polymorphnuclear granulocyts increases.The rate of apoptosis increases on an average from 4,04% on the day 0 of investigation to on an average 6,67% on day 1 of investigation. The median of the day 0 increase from 2,83% to 6,28% on day 2, in order to decrease to 4,34% on day 3 and then to reach 6,59% on day 7.The result (0,03; n=14) of the Friedman- Test over the days of investigation 0, 1 and 3 is significant, but over the days of investigation 0, 1, 3 and 7 the P- value is 0,055 (n=12).On the basis of these results an increase of apoptosis of the polymorphnuclear granulocyt in the bronchoalveolar space from the day of investigation 0 to day 1 at these investigated calves (n=14) during the treatment with the macrolid Tilmicosin can be assumed.The part of apoptotic polymorphnuclear granulocyte increase by seven (53,85%) out of 13 calves, which were treated with Excenel and decrease by six (46,15%) out of these 13 calves from the day 0 of investigation to day 1.The median of the day 0, 1 and 3 of investigation is approximately constant (4,46%; 4,11 %; 4,34%), if then to increase on day 7 (5,66%).The averages of the days of investigation amount to 7,17% on day 0, 4,87% on day 1, 4,71 % on day 3 und 6,48% on day 7.On the basis of these determined results a heterogeneous course of the ate of apoptosis by the neutrophil granulocytes in the airways of the lung during the treatment of the medicament Excenel can be assumed.
