In a study from Germany, a representative
number of sera from horses with and without
clinical symptoms were analyzed in a randomized
field study using commercial EIA
kits. There was no significant difference in the
serological results between horses of both
groups. These authors conclude that an explicit
diagnosis of Lyme borreliosis in horses is problematical. (Quelle: Gerold Stanek: Review
