Pseudomonas is a Gram-negative, motile, non-spore-forming and non-capsulated aerobic bacilli. It causes several pathological conditions in poultry, including respiratory manifestations, embryonic death, omphalitis, keratitis and osteomyelitis. Additionally, Pseudomonas spp. was isolated from other localised infections such as salpingitis, oophoritis, cellulitis and arthritis. In this chapter, we will shed light on the main Pseudomonas species isolated from poultry. Additionally, we will highlight the main pathological conditions and the control measures.
