Abstract / Zusammenfassung
Wounds exposed to repetetive trauma and infection have difficulties to heal. Ultrasonically assisted wound-debridement (UAW) is common in human medicine for many years for an effective treatment of chronic wounds and diabetic ulcer. So far there are no experiences with the UAW in the veterinary medicine. Therefore the following text reports the first experience with this technology at a chronic infected wound at the breast of a horse.
