Abstract / Zusammenfassung

A multitude of disorders affect the equine foot. When a problem is diagnosed, it must be determined whether conservative or surgical treatment is appropriate. In some conditions, surgery becomes necessary after conservative management has failed to bring about improvement. For other problems, surgical intervention is the best or only treatment option. In this chapter, frequently encountered disorders of the foot managed by surgery are discussed.
