Abstract / Zusammenfassung
The methodology and the protocols used in these experiments are – to a large extent - not validated. For example, the sensitivity of the systems used in the experiments has not been sufficiently tested. Suitable positive controls such as various concentrations of isolated Bt toxins were not used in the experiments. There are still some open questions, for example, about the method of extraction of the plant material used in testing, the identification of suitable cell cultures and future applications of multilayer systems. We appreciate and acknowledge that several gaps in methods and in the protocols used were made explicit.
