B. thermosphacta was isolated on the body-surface of living pigs but also on the carcasses of pigs. The results of the examinations allow the conclusion, that B. thermosphacta is an important representative ofthe original microflora in slaughter houses, meat processing and other food manufactories. The animals for slaughter, contaminated working equipments and people are a possibility as vectors for internally distribution. Recontamination of cooked products should be avoidable by hygienic processing.
